Matthews’ Painting Company has been named Michiana’s Best of the Best Painter in The Goshen News Best of the Best competition, a community-driven recognition that reflects the support and trust of local homeowners and businesses across the region.
The annual Best of the Best program is entirely voter-driven and takes place over several months. During the Nomination Round in October and November, The Goshen News readers and community members nominate their favorite local businesses and service providers.

The top three businesses in each category then move on to the Voting Round in November and December, where the community casts votes to determine the winner. Winners and runner-up businesses are then featured in the Best of the Best magazine in March, a guide that reaches thousands of local readers throughout the year.
For Matthews’ Painting Company, the recognition is especially meaningful because it comes directly from the people and communities they serve every day.
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who nominated us and voted for us,” said Matthews’ Painting Company owner, Jason Matthews. “To be chosen by the community in this way means a great deal to us. We’ve always believed that great work is about more than just the finished result. It’s about trust, service, relationships, and caring for people well.”
In its message to participating businesses, Doug McAvoy, Publisher of GN Total Media over The Goshen News, notes that being nominated is an accomplishment in itself, reflecting the trust, loyalty, and appreciation a business has earned from its customers and community. “For those named Best of the Best, the distinction represents not only quality and service, but also the relationships they have built with those they serve,” wrote McAvoy.
This recognition serves as both a celebration and a thank you to the customers, supporters, and communities who have continued to place their confidence in Matthews’ Painting Company.
