In the previous post, I presented some our favorite interior paint colors and accents that capture the spirit of summer. Here’s the rest of the list for Indiana folks who are still seeking a little inspiration in the realm of summertime decor.
Bright Red
This color is a common choice for entryways. Bright and energetic, this room will set the tone for the entire home. A nice cheerful red is happy and inviting in common open spaces. However, be careful using this color in rooms, because it has been known to naturally raise blood pressure.
Navy Blue
With its nautical association, navy blue is a great choice for a summer colors. Similar to black, white and gray, navy can be added without overpowering a room. This paint choice also pairs well with bolder to create combos with a bigger pop.
Cotton White
White is a classic go-to that can give any space a clean look. There’s no better time than summer to rejuvenate a room with a fresh all-white palette. Or for a more creative combo, use white as a neutral backdrop, and combine with accent pieces using favorite colors.
Orange
How could we forget one of the strongest color correlations with summer out there? Orange sherbet, sunshine, bonfires, they are all reminders of fond summer memories. Adding orange or tangerine interior paint as an accent to a neutral room will get things feeling like summer, quicker than ever.
